The Text-based Task Repository project develops, pilots, and publishes text-based tasks for elementary and intermediate foreign and heritage language courses in five languages (Arabic, Japanese, Italian, Russian, and Spanish).
Text-based instruction uses texts sourced directly from target-language discourse communities to teach learners how to read texts critically, recognize features in the texts, and create their own texts.
